Well after letting myself down and deciding not sail on the saturday because it was to windy I decided on Hayling for sunday. Disppointed on arrival as it was very marginal - never mind rigged the 5.4 just to play around and pracice things like tacking, backwind sailing, helitacks etc. Floated (just) out and then enjoyed some playful waves coming in.

Wind gradually picked up though and in the end went out to the sandbar with about 5 other sailors. Enjoyed 3ft faces with cross shore wind. Wind was up and down but got in some really nice floaty jumps and backside riding. Tried frontside riding but just cant seem to get the timing right - practice.

Wind gradually died as did my stamina so decided to come in.

All in all a nice day but could have done with a bit more wind - glad I got out though.
